Ubislate not delivered after advance payment? Here is what to do.................

Today our team managed to pay a visit at Datawind Innovations regional office here at Sultan Wind Road, Jubilee Complex, Amritsar. The office was located in a building on its first floor. As we entered, we immediately noticed houch pouch going through. As we inquired about the reason, we were told it was because they are moving their office to new location in 2-3 days.

So here is the drill, one of our team member booked Ubislate 7+ tablet in the month of June 2012 and made an advance payment of Rs 2,999. He was given the month of September as the expected delivery month. But it passed and the device never got delivered. Even the Toll Free number they have provided never works and nobody ever picks it up. So we decided to go to their office to ask about the matter. We asked about the reason and they told it was because of bulk inquiry calls it keeps ringing in the exchange.

As I mentioned, they were about to shift their office to other location, so there were many disturbances. There was a separate room for device Demo and testing before finally sending them over to customers. We had with us our Booking ID and Demand Draft Number. On inquiring about the delay in delivery, they told us that the device we booked was out of stock and has arrived two days ago. We asked if the device can be given right on the spot to us. They agreed after few discussions. We were then asked if we want to upgrade to latest device for few more bucks. We asked for a product demo before upgrading. And there we were with new Ubislate 7ci in our hands. The difference was front camera and Capacitive touch. So after using it, we decided to upgrade it for and additional Rs 1,500.

As we made the payment, our Invoice was ready and the device was given to us.
So for those who have pre booked Ubislate and never got it delivered even after long wait, we advise them to pay a visit to their office and get the device from their itself. Don’t forget to carry your Booking ID, Demand Draft number and ID Proof with you.

NOTE: If you have not pre booked the device, you can still get it by visiting their office and buying it directly without any pre booking stuff.
